Izzy Wasserstein is a queer and trans woman who was born and raised in Kansas and currently lives in California. She teaches writing and literature, writes poetry and fiction, and shares a house with a variety of animal companions and the writer Nora E. Derrington. A Lambda Literary Award finalist, she’s the author of two poetry collections, the short story collection All the Hometowns You Can’t Stay Away From, and the forthcoming novella These Fragile Graces, This Fugitive Heart (Tachyon, 2024).
